Business & Finance will release the annual CEO 100 Index 2022, recognising the top chief executives leading companies in Ireland at a webinar on Tuesday 15th April. Themed, ‘Leading the Way: New Era, No Limits’, the webinar will explore how business leaders adapted to expanded leadership standards during the pandemic.


Titled “Leading the Way: New Era, No Limits,” this webinar explores how business leaders adapted to incorporate expanded leadership standards during the pandemic.

As we emerge from the COVID-19 pandemic, CEOs and C-Suite leaders not only have to steer companies to profitability but also display keen and empathetic leadership as their team navigates an uncertain business climate. Lorna Conn joined Cpl in October 2017 as Chief Financial Officer.She was appointed Deputy CEO in April 2021 and CEO in January 2022. Lorna has previously held senior roles in a number of public companies, residing in both Ireland and America during this time. Lorna is a Chartered Director, a Chartered Accountant and trained with Deloitte. Lorna holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree in University College Dublin and a Masters in Accounting in the UCD Smurfit School. Lorna is passionate about Ireland as a location to live and to do business in.

Devan is CEO & Co-founder of Buymie, Ireland’s largest same-day grocery ecommerce platform. Headquartered in Dublin, with offices in the UK and Armenia, Buymie partners with the largest enterprise grocers in the market, including Dunnes Stores, Lidl, and COOP in the UK. With a high profile investor list and over €15m+ of capital raised, the service now operates across 5 cities and 2 countries, and has captured over 4.5% of the Irish population as registered users, with 13% of households in major cities such as Dublin now shopping with buymie for their weekly groceries.


Danny McCoy, CEO,

Danny McCoy is Chief Executive Officer of Ibec since 2009. Ibec is Ireland’s largest business representative organisation and the country’s largest lobbying group. It has 245 staff in nine locations and has 39 trade association brands and substantial presence within the European Union through Ibec’s Brussels office. Prior to joining Ibec, Danny was a senior economist at both the Economic and Social Research Institute (ESRI) and the Central Bank of Ireland in Dublin. He has held lecturing posts at Dublin City University, University College London, University of Oxford and Trinity College Dublin. He has been a consultant for the European Commission and the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD). He has been a member of the Irish National Competitiveness Council, the National Economic and Social Council, the Commission on Taxation and the National Training Agency. He led a European Macroeconomic Forecasting Network for the European Commission of eleven national research institutes. He is currently President of the Statistical and Social Inquiry Society of Ireland, Honorary Fellow of the Academy of Engineers, Board member of MaREI and member of the Trade and Investment Council, Executive Bureau of BusinessEurope, Government’s Balance for Better Business Group. His academic work in the early 1990s covered carbon taxation and Sustainable Development for which he received an Economic scholarship and the Barrington Medal for researchers under 30.

Michele provides strategic and financial advice to clients across a range of industries. She specialises in the area of financing for infrastructure projects, assisting clients in loan sales, banking rescheduling/ restructuring negotiations and raising funding for new ventures including both property and trading businesses.

Michele leads the KPMG team, providing advice on a wide range of notable Public Private Partnership infrastructure transactions in the transport, leisure, healthcare, justice, education, port and social housing sectors.

Michele is also involved in assisting clients with bank deleveraging, debt restructurings, raising finance and refinancing of existing debt.
