Nicholas Latifi said he appreciates he “didn’t do just about anything wrong” right after crashing driving the Safety Vehicle for the duration of the Monaco Grand Prix.
With the race setting up powering the Safety Car immediately after a prolonged delay, the Williams driver grew to become the 1st to working experience just how tricky the afternoon was likely to be provided the soaked monitor conditions.
As the motorists followed the Safety Car for the very first lap of the race, he slid into the barrier at the Loews hairpin.

The 26-year-previous explained he felt like he was a “passenger” in the car at that time and that it was heading ahead without the need of him urgent his foot on the throttle.
“I know it wasn’t the throttle pedal alone,” Latifi claimed.
“But there was one thing that gave generate to the motor so regardless of what that was, I started off to get some pushing from the engine.
“I wasn’t anxious the pedal was going to do that once more simply because it was not the pedal in the initial position.
“But it was extremely strange and stunning at the similar time and I was sort of previously heading so sluggish there, I was just a passenger at that point -‘the vehicle is driving forward and I am not on the gas so I never know what is happening here’.”
It was not a fantastic weekend for Williams as a full with Alex Albon pressured to retire with a mechanical problem in lap 48.
“It was a tricky working day out there and a little bit of a scruffy performance from my side, as well,” Albon reported.
“The conditions intended that acquiring the brakes in the ideal window was actually difficult, particularly with all the variation that a drying monitor delivers and the pink flags.
“The vehicle felt excellent when we had clean up air while and I did truly feel aggressive at factors, so there are some positives to get absent from these days.”
